Members Full Set Regalia – Royal Order of Scotland
(Includes Cordons, Breast Star, Jewels, Garter & Apron)
Embody the full dignity and honour of the Royal Order of Scotland with this complete set of Members’ Regalia, meticulously crafted to meet the traditional standards and ceremonial expectations of this esteemed chivalric-Masonic body. Designed for both practical ritual use and formal presentation, this set is a must-have for any Brother who has been admitted to the Order’s two Degrees: the Heredom of Kilwinning and the Rosy Cross.
🔹 Set Includes:
1. Cordons (Sashes) – Red & Green Tartan
Worn across the shoulder in true Scottish tradition, the distinctive double cordons reflect the Royal Stewart tartan, honouring the ancient Scottish roots of the Order.
Constructed from high-quality tartan ribbon, the cordons cross the chest and waist and are fitted with sturdy suspender clips for secure attachment of the jewels.
Symbolizes nobility, honour, and service, in line with the knightly character of the Order.
2. Breast Star – Silver Radiant Cross
A beautifully detailed eight-pointed silver star mounted with a red cross and green center, bearing the motto of the Order: “Nec tamen consumebatur” (“Yet it was not consumed”)—a reference to the burning bush and enduring faith.
Crafted with fine metallic thread embroidery or polished metal (depending on version), ideal for formal wear and presentation.
Affixed with a rear clasp or pin for placement over the left breast during ceremonial occasions.
3. Jewels – Heredom of Kilwinning & Rosy Cross
Heredom Jewel: Usually a silver compasses and sunburst motif, symbolizing spiritual light and the sacred geometry of divine truth.
Rosy Cross Jewel: A green enameled cross with a rose at its centre, symbolizing rebirth, charity, and the harmony of divine love and wisdom.
Both jewels are suspended from the cordons and designed to reflect the distinct teachings of each degree.
Optional: Custom engraved reverse with member’s initials or date of investiture (by request).
4. Garter – Blue Velvet with Gold Embroidery
A navy-blue garter edged in gold braid, traditionally worn on the left knee, symbolizing chivalric allegiance and Masonic humility.
Often adorned with a small emblem or Scottish thistle to denote connection to the ancient Orders of Knighthood.
Adjustable and comfortable, with elastic or buckle fastening.
5. Apron – White Lambskin with Green & Crimson Trim
The apron features a traditional white lambskin base, edged with crimson and green borders—the official colours of the Royal Order.
Central emblem includes the Cross of St. Andrew, crowned thistle, and other sacred Scottish symbols rendered in high-quality embroidery.
The flap (bib) is pointed, representing the Degree of Heredom of Kilwinning.
